Policies

Cancellation Policy
All deposits are nonrefundable. Cancelled reservations cannot be reversed; your deposit will be forfeited. You may reschedule your reservation; deposits may be transferred to a new reservation date during the calendar year. Excessive changes will incur a minimum $10 service fee.

We cannot be held responsible for inclement weather, illness, work schedules, or other situations affecting our guests. We adhere to our cancellation policy regardless of circumstances. If you need to cancel your reservation, you may email us at tomsawyersrvpark@gmail.com or you may call the office at (870) 735-9770. Please contact the office before the deadlines listed below. Do not consider your reservation cancelled until you receive a cancellation email. 

  • RV and tent site reservations require 48 hours’ notice. Please notify the park by 1:00 PM two days before your scheduled arrival to cancel.
  • Group and rally reservations require 28 days’ notice. Please notify the park by 1:00 PM four weeks before your scheduled arrival to cancel.

No shows are nonrefundable. Your confirmed reservation will hold your site until 8:00 AM on the day following your scheduled arrival date. If you have not made special arrangements with the park by then, your reservation will be released without refund. Please contact the office to avoid this situation.

 

General Policies
The following rules and regulations ensure your enjoyment and safety while visiting our campground.

Payment is due at time of check-in. All sales are final. Refunds are prohibited for weather conditions, voluntary departure, acts of nature, or evictions.

In the event of Tom Sawyer’s RV Park temporarily closing due to high water from the Mississippi River, you will be notified as soon as we know of any anticipated disruption. River stages may be monitored on our website.

Check-in starts at 1 PM.
Check-out is at 12 PM (noon).

Check-ins are still contactless. After your full payment processes, we will leave an envelope for you in front of the office porch. Look for the “Contactless Check-In Station.” The envelope will contain a park map, your receipt, and a car pass. Please make sure to pick up your envelope before heading down to your site.

If you plan to extend your stay, please let the office know by 10 AM. Due to other reservations, you may need to move to a different site. We recommend making arrangements as soon as possible.

No late check-outs.

Park in your registered site only. Unoccupied sites are not necessarily available. Do not drive on the grass or through unoccupied sites.

If your vehicle does not fit in your site, park in an overflow parking area.

No tents allowed on RV sites or on the grass next to RV sites. Designated tent areas are available.

The speed limit in the park is 5 MPH.

Wi-Fi is available throughout the park for laptops and desktops only. Do not attempt to connect your wireless router to the network. Wi-Fi is free, but not guaranteed.

We do not have cable. Local Memphis channels are available with an antenna.

Use caution when walking along the riverbank.

No boats, kayaks, or canoes allowed in the ponds. No swimming.

Children must be under adult supervision at all times.

Visitors must check in at the office before entering the campground. You are responsible for your visitors’ conduct while in the park.

Quiet hours: 10 PM to 7 AM. Please be courteous to your neighbors.

Do not wash your vehicles at your site.

Keep bathhouses and laundry rooms neat and clean.

Keep your campsite clean. There is no trash pickup at your site. Do not leave trash out. You may dispose of only household garbage in the dumpster.

No solicitations of any kind.

⚠ Warning: No digging or long stakes due to underground utilities.

Pets must be leashed at all times. Do not allow your pet to disturb your neighbors.
Clean up after your pet; promptly pick up all solid waste material and dispose of it appropriately.
Do not leave pets unattended outside. Please do not use tethers/tie outs.
Please keep pets quiet. No excessive barking.
Do not bring pets into the facilities.

Due to our insurance, we do not allow pit bulls, American bulldogs, Staffordshire bull terriers, Dobermans, Rottweilers, or mixes of these breeds. If you do bring these dogs into the park, we will ask you to leave without a refund.

No fires on the grass. Do not remove rocks from surrounding area. We do not have fire pits.

Fires must be contained in a fire pit. The fire pit must have legs that keep it up off the ground. The fire pit may be placed on the gravel, but not on the grass. Do not leave fires unattended. Properly dispose of ashes and debris. Obey any restrictions on fires; fires may be limited or prohibited at certain times.

Fires are to be fully extinguished prior to campers departing campground.

Rowdiness, loud music, abusive language, and violent behavior will not be tolerated at any time.

All local, state, and federal laws are applicable to all persons on the premises.

All sales are final. There are no refunds due to early departure or inclement weather.

In the event of any violation of the park rules, you will be asked to leave with no refund.

Management assumes no responsibilities for accidents, injuries, or losses from any cause.

 

Please note that the site number in your confirmation email is not guaranteed, but the site type is. In order to optimize bookings, we may have to shuffle reservations.

If your reservation is for more than one site, you agree to pay the balance for all sites. If you would like to pay for only your site, then the other party or parties should call to make their own reservation(s). In this case, please contact the office so that we may separate the sites in your reservation.
